How to enter

The American Financial Technology Awards 2023 are free to enter and are open to all buy-side and sell-side firms and third-party technology vendors, regardless of their size, location and ownership. Organizations may enter as many categories as they wish, as long as they genuinely believe they meet the criteria listed alongside the categories (see Award Categories). The judging panel will consider all entries in each category.

The 2023 AFTAs awards ceremony is a virtual ceremony. However, given the global nature of the financial services industry and the vendor community serving it, the initiatives/projects/teams entered in each of the categories do not necessarily need to be US-focused.

About these awards: Entries to the American Financial Technology Awards 2023 consist of two sections: Section A and Section B. Information in Section A will be included in the winners’ highlight sheets (category write-ups), which will be published on the WatersTechnology website.

All information contained in Section B will remain strictly confidential, although it will be considered by the judges when they make their recommendations. Under no circumstances will that information be made public or shared across Infopro Digital. 

About this year’s category write-ups: Based on conversations with a number of WatersTechnology’s readers and past category winners, we have decided to change the format of the winners’ write-ups. The new highlights sheets will be based on information contained in section A. Therefore, it is in your interest to provide accurate and detailed information in response to all the requests for information in section A.

General entry information:

• Entry to the 2023 American Financial Technology Awards is free and is online only.
   
• Select a category you wish to enter from the line-up, but please bear in mind that only buy-side and sell-side firms (end-users) may enter the end-user categories.
    
• Each entry must be completed in a separate online entry form and all fields must be completed. If you are entering multiple products and categories, you will need to complete the requisite number of online entry forms.
   
• Please note that the quality of your entry (topicality, the problems it solves, how it solves those problems, and the innovation embedded within the service or solution etc.) has a bearing on the outcome of each category. Some entrants go to great lengths to provide the judging panel with as much transparency as possible regarding their products and the company in general. These entries stand a greater chance of success than those consisting of a "cut-and-paste-job" from the company website.
